Start with the person
Understand what they sell or support, who they serve, and the decisions they face. Talk with the people doing the work.
KAGE INTELLIGENCE / TAMPA, FLORIDA
Kage builds connected dashboards, analytics, and automation around the decisions people actually make. Useful intelligence belongs in the workday.
THE KAGE POINT OF VIEW
A shared department does not make people’s work interchangeable. Even the same job title can mean different products, customers, and decisions. The useful view has to reflect those differences.
A dashboard that only helps leadership explain performance is doing half the job. People need the context to influence that performance while the work is happening.
Kage grew from building for this problem: connecting CRM reports, legacy licenses, billing, device data, and contacts into account context, priorities, and relevant follow-up.
HOW WE APPROACH THE WORK
Understand what they sell or support, who they serve, and the decisions they face. Talk with the people doing the work.
Use shared definitions and source matching. Tailor the relevance without creating different versions of the truth.
Show the supporting signals, gaps, and freshness. Give people enough context to question a recommendation.
Leadership defines the purpose and boundaries. People get the information to act within them and know when to escalate.
Connect repeated assembly and preparation where practical. Capture useful information through the work instead of asking for it again.
Evaluate preparation time, decision usefulness, follow-through, and business outcomes. A busy dashboard is not the result.
A LEADERSHIP IDEA BEHIND THE APPROACH
David Marquet’s account of leadership aboard USS Santa Fe is an influence on Kage’s approach: give people a clear purpose, build competence, and place decision authority near the relevant knowledge.
Kage applies that thinking to information and workflows. The software supplies context; your business establishes decision rights, boundaries, and accountability.
